An Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), a non-invasive light therapy, is designed to eliminate unwanted hair for almost any part of the face and body (certain restrictions may apply).

Laser hair removal takes multiple treatments to potentially achieve your desired result. Our patients have experienced great results but we don’t guarantee the same outcome due to many factors that are out of our control. That in mind, laser hair removal is known to be one of the most effective solutions available for permanent hair removal. These treatments are FDA approved for permanent hair reduction and removal.

During your consultation, Dr. Rowekamp, D.O. and his highly-trained staff will assess the desired treatment area or areas and determine if the areas are treatable.

If the desired area or areas are treatable, they will also explain the best times to perform each treatment to help achieve the best results. Treatments need to done at certain stages of the hair growth cycle to slow further hair growth effectively.

Anyone with suitably dark hair can be a candidate for laser hair removal, unfortunately light blonde, red, or grey hair cannot currently be treated due to the similarity in color between the hair follicle and the skin. Light skin and dark hair is the best combination for optimal effectiveness.

Treatment plans are completely customized by Dr. Rowekamp, D.O. per desired treatment area, skin color, hair color, and hair coarseness. Once a thorough evaluation has been completed he will determine the number of treatments that will be necessary to achieve optimal results. Common treatment areas include legs, underarms, back, stomach and even the sensitive bikini area.
